TQR Exeter are very excited to be working in partnership with a Pub near Salcombe, Devon.

This is a permanent full-time role within a popular pub that requires an experienced sous chef with a versatile background in pubs and restaurants.

As the Sous Chef you will be required to:
  • Support the Head Chef
  • Assist the Head Chef with menu planning, rota changes, staff training and stock control.
  • Consistently maintain their high standards of food service and provision to meet the expectations of owners and guests.
  • Ensure that the methods of preparation and presentation comply with current recognised catering standards and those implemented by the GM and the Head Chef
  • Take operational control, including supervision of all kitchen staff as required by the Head Chef
  • Help ensure that all members of staff adhere to both statutory regulations and NMA’s policies on food safety and health and safety within all catering areas
  • Work with the Head Chef to ensure that effective induction, supervision and appraisals of catering staff are carried out and that training needs are identified and met.

  • Have experience within a similar settings
  • Hold a Level 2 Food Hygeine certificate.
  • Be passionate, focused and committed.
