Job summary

Sodexo Live! is hiring a Retail Sous Chef to lead the stadium retail catering at Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club. You will drive menus, food quality, and team performance on matchdays and events to deliver exceptional fan experiences.

You'll oversee stock, cost control, and compliance while inspiring a high-performing kitchen team in a dynamic venue environment.

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience in a chef role within busy catering/hospitality/events.
• Excellent culinary skills and passion for food innovation.
• Experience leading, developing and motivating kitchen teams.
• Strong commercial awareness, including food costing, budgeting and stock management.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume operation.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, taking ownership and delivering great results.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and matchdays as required.

• Driving food quality, presentation and consistency across all retail outlets.
• Managing stock control, purchasing, food costing and waste management to maximise profitability.
• Ensuring the highest standards of food safety, health and safety and legislative compliance are maintained at all times.
• Monitoring customer feedback and identifying opportunities to improve products and service.
• Supporting recruitment, training and succession planning across the kitchen operation.
• Championing innovation and staying ahead of current food and hospitality trends.
