Job summary

The Bird, Bath and Dukes Hotel in Bath is seeking a talented Sous Chef to lead our kitchen brigade, work hands-on across lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, and help develop menus for special events and private dining domes.

• Be second in command of the kitchen brigade alongside Head Chef.
• Hands-on preparation across lunch, afternoon tea and dinner menus.
• Assist in future menu development for set and private dining events.
• Oversee kitchen standards, ordering, rotas, training and development.
• Ensure compliance with kitchen regulations and legislation.

As Sous Chef what you’ll be doing

• Be the second in command of our dedicated brigade along side our Head Chef
• Be hands on in the kitchen with our lunch, afternoon tea and dinner menus
• Help in future menu development for a la carte restaurant menus, events and our private Dining Domes
• Have a hands on role in managing the kitchen, maintaining standards, assisting with ordering, rotas, training and development for kitchen and front of house team members
• Be responsible for regulations and legislation within our kitchen
