Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar Sous Chef role is essential.
  • Knowledge of all kitchen areas and ability to inspire junior chefs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage one of the kitchen sections and contribute menu ideas.

Job description

Location: THE PIG - near Bath, Bath, Somerset.

OTE £17.15 per hour (including Tronc)

Full time - 40 hours per week, plus paid overtime. OTE equivalent of £42,920 PA including tronc based on 48 hours per week.

A Sous role at THE PIG is like no other. We use local suppliers within a 25-mile radius, our own homegrown kitchen garden produce and a lot of love to create our menus, which change all the time. Our Senior Chefs are passionate and above all driven to provide our guests with an unforgettable dining experience, creativity is what we do best.

Come with enthusiasm, your knives and a bucketful of passion and we can help you develop the rest, in our busy and bustling kitchens.

You will assist the Senior Sous Chef and the Head Chef in the running of the kitchen, managing one of the 4 sections, providing new ideas for the menu, and managing health and safety, ordering and rotas.

We’re seeking Sous with confidence and ability to support a dynamic team. Our Sous' can experience what we offer at more than one of our properties, as well as stepping up into a Senior Sous role.

Knowledge of all areas of the kitchen is essential.

Previous experience in a similar role is necessary.
