Job summary

Upham Inns is seeking a full-time Sous Chef with a live-in option to join our team. You will support the Head Chef, work within defined menus and lead a kitchen team in a dynamic pub environment.

We offer up to £34,000 per year plus a share of Tronc up to £5,000, plus meal and accommodation discounts, and a development pathway to Head Chef. A lifestyle card and recruitment incentives are also included to reward performance.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as Sous or junior Sous chef.
• Excellent culinary and presentation skills.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Able to lead, train and develop junior chefs.

Responsibilities

• To work and support the Head Chef and management.
• Experience working within company defined menus and recipes.
• Manage staff rosters and allocation of work details.
• Be able to fulfil training and growth of the team; food orders, stock control and correct storage of food stocks.
• A Genuine desire to provide high quality food and service.
• Maintain and manage high hygiene and presentation standards; comply with safety and licensing laws.
