Upham Inns is seeking a driven Sous Chef to join our team across our premium pubs in Southern England. You will work closely with the Head Chef, lead a kitchen team, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality pub dining in a busy, guest-focused environment.

The role offers a salary up to £38,000 with a potential annual share of Tronc up to £5,000, plus substantial staff perks. A clear development pathway to Head Chef is provided, along with extensive lifestyle discounts and reward schemes.

Qualificações

• Strong leadership with the ability to train and develop junior chefs.
• At least 1 year experience as a Sous/junior Sous chef.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Excellent culinary and presentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• To work and support the Head Chef and management.
• Experience working within company defined menus and recipes.
• Manage staff rosters and allocation of work details.
• Be able to fulfil training and growth of the team.
• Be able to food order, stock control and correct storage of food stocks.
• A Genuine desire to provide high quality food and service.
• Maintain and manage the required high operational and personal standard of hygiene and presentation within the team at all times.
• Comply with all Food safety, fire, Health and safety, licensing and employment laws.

Sous Chef Requirements

• Be a strong Leader, with the ability to train, Coach and develop junior chefs
• At least 1 year experience as a Sous/junior Sous chef
• Great communication skills
• Right to Work in the UK
• Excellent culinary and presentation skills

What do we do?

We own a collection of beautiful and individual premium pubs across Southern England. Our pubs are in idyllic settings in country villages and towns, where we are proud to be the quality local of the area, serving high quality fresh pub food in a cozy pub ambience. Most of our pubs have some Charming Bedrooms as well. New to our growing family is Harper’s Steakhouse, a new premium American Steakhouse brand that we started rolling out last year.
