South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a SORT Facilitator to deliver CBRN and MTA training to SECAmb uplift and HART staff. The role requires clinical focus, strong communication and organizational skills, and NHS experience.
You will work within a framework of training and assurance, providing education and mentoring while travelling to partner sites as needed. DBS checks apply and enhanced equality policies are in place to support an inclusive workforce.
The SORT Facilitators will be responsible for delivering training sessions for the delivery of Chemical, Biological, Radiation and Nuclear (CBRN) and Marauding Terrorist Attack (MTA) training to SECAmb uplift / HART staff.
Successful applicants will be clinically focused who are able to use their skills in challenging environments.
You should be a self-motivated, innovative and flexible individual with excellent communication and organizing skills who should also have experience in working within the NHS.
The SORT Facilitator is accountable to the Head of Specialist Operations for the delivery of the service by providing expert knowledge, skill and direction in the delivery of training and assurance. To take responsibility as part of SECAmb SORT for providing professional education, training, and learning opportunities.
The SORT facilitators will work predominantly Monday to Friday, office hours, with the occasional weekends / nights to deliver training or facilitate / attend exercises or live response - any unsocial hours worked will be paid as per Agenda for Change Section 2.
Please note that the salary range noted on the vacancy is in line with agenda for change (AFC) pay scales. All successful applicants would be placed automatically at the bottom of the banding, unless proven, relevant NHS or equivalent experience can be demonstrated.
Following the revision of current national legislation (Vaccine as a Condition of Deployment), the Trust has reviewed our requirements relating to staff uptake of the SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19) vaccination.
Going forward, for patient facing positions, we strongly recommend that new starters will be appropriately vaccinated unless medically exempt in order to offer greater protection against exposure to the virus for front line staff.
In line with this recommendation, if you are successful in your application for a front line post, we will seek information from you in relation to your vaccine status, including exemption status, as applicable.
Please note, all positions come with a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check relevant to the post. This will either be a basic, standard or enhanced check depending on the role. The level of check will be outlined in the conditional offer letter sent to successful applicants.
