South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an EOC Development Trainer (Clinical) to shape the training of our Emergency Operations Centre clinicians. The role combines education, mentoring and workforce development with ongoing clinical duties.
You will design programmes, deliver NHS Pathways education, support inductions and coach staff, while contributing to governance and performance improvement across sites.

Are you an experienced clinician with a passion for education, mentoring and workforce development?
We are looking for a motivated and innovative EOC Development Trainer (Clinical) to join our Emergency Operations Centre Development Team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to influence the development of current and future clinicians, supporting the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality patient care across our Emergency Operations Centres.
You will play a key role in designing and delivering training programmes, supporting clinical competence and providing coaching and development to EOC clinicians at all stages of their career. Working closely with operational leaders, auditors and governance teams, you will contribute to continuous improvement and help ensure the highest standards of clinical practice are maintained.
Alongside your training responsibilities, you will continue to undertake clinical operational duties on a one-in-six basis to maintain your skills, credibility and subject matter expertise.
Other than in exceptional circumstances, the starting salary for staff new to the NHS will be the bottom point of the band to which they have been appointed.
Please note that the salary range noted on the vacancy is in line with agenda for change (AFC) pay scales. All successful applicants would be placed automatically at the bottom of the banding, unless proven, relevant NHS or equivalent experience can be demonstrated.
Following the revision of current national legislation (Vaccine as a Condition of Deployment), the Trust has reviewed our requirements relating to staff uptake of the SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19) vaccination.
Going forward, for patient facing positions, we strongly recommend that new starters will be appropriately vaccinated unless medically exempt in order to offer greater protection against exposure to the virus for front line staff.
