Job summary

You will be an effective member of the Gynaecology Ultrasound team. You will provide the highest standard of Gynaecology Ultrasound service to patients in our expanding Non-Obstetric Ultrasound Service, working autonomously in a community setting.

The role will be for Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job

• You will provide a high standard of work as set by the service regarding the quality of Ultrasound examinations and ensure that the Ultrasound examination of patients is carried out efficiently, maintaining required standards and minimizing patient waiting times.

Job description

• Assist other Sonographers in maintaining service provision.
• Ensure regular quality control tests and report malfunctions.
• Prioritize patient welfare and comfort at all times.
• Collaborate with the Referral Management Centre to provide written communication to the referring GP within 2 days.

Qualifications (Essential)

• Postgraduate certificate/diploma in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent international qualification.

Experience (Essential)

• Performed and reported at least 900 ultrasound scans in the last 12 months, with ongoing CPD.
• Meet National Occupation Standards for imaging of anatomical areas.
• English as a first language or passed a suitable English exam; registered with HCPC/SOR.

About you (Essential)

• Patient safety and satisfaction are core; candidates should be compassionate, motivated, attentive, and uphold integrity and excellence.
• Must have a driving license, own car, and be flexible with working arrangements.
