Neurophysiology are seeking to recruit a qualified clinical scientist or clinical physiologist to join the team. Based at the Birmingham Treatment Centre (BTC), we also provide inpatient Neurophysiology diagnostic services at the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH), which opened in October 2024.
Applicants should hold a relevant Neurophysiology degree and ideally ANS professional exams. Applications are encouraged from year 3 STP students seeking employment in the Birmingham area. Training and assessment in nerve conduction studies can be provided in-house for candidates with a BSc in Healthcare Science (Neurophysiology), with support available for further academic study.
Duties include all EEG modalities such as sleep, ambulatory, and portable EEG, as well as independent nerve conduction clinics. The candidate will contribute to the daily running of the service, with support for areas of particular interest.
Some training of junior team members or other healthcare professionals is required.
