Job summary

Surrey Park Womens Clinic in Guildford is seeking a Specialist Sonographer to deliver a high‑quality fertility ultrasound service within our multidisciplinary clinical team. From follicular tracking and ovarian reserve assessments to early pregnancy scans and gynecological investigations, your expertise will support diagnosis, treatment planning and monitoring throughout the fertility journey.

Essential: postgraduate certificate in obstetrics/gynecology ultrasound; minimum 3 years postgraduate

Qualifications

Post graduate certificate in obstetrics and/or gynecology ultrasound.
Minimum 3 year's post graduate experience.
Valied registration with NMC, HCPC or Voluntary Register for Sonographers.
Experience in Obstetric and Gynecological ultrasound scanning.
Experience in fertility or reproductive healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

Perform transvaginal and transabdominal ultrasound examinations in line with clinic protocols.
Undertake follicular tracking and ovarian reserve assessments to support fertility investigations.
Assess, interpret and report ultrasound findings to support clinical decision-making.
Monitor patients during treatment cycles and escalate concerns as needed.
Produce timely ultrasound reports and maintain accurate patient records.
Contribute to audit, quality assurance and service improvement initiatives.
Maintain ultrasound equipment and assist in developing SOPs and best practices.

About the Role

Surrey Park Womens Clinic are looking for a Specialist Sonographer. You will deliver a high-quality fertility ultrasound service at the heart of our multidisciplinary clinical team. From follicular tracking and ovarian reserve assessments to early pregnancy scans and gynaecological investigations, your expertise will directly support diagnosis, treatment planning and monitoring throughout the patient's fertility journey. What You Will Do

Perform transvaginal, transabdominal, Doppler, fertility monitoring, gynaecological and pregnancy ultrasound examinations in line with clinic protocols
Undertake follicular tracking, ovarian reserve, endometrial and pelvic assessments to support fertility investigations and treatment cycles
Assess, interpret and report ultrasound findings accurately to support clinical decision‑making and treatment planning
Monitor patients during treatment cycles and escalating clinical, wellbeing or safeguarding concerns appropriately
Produce timely ultrasound reports and maintain accurate patient records within the electronic patient management system
Contribute to audit, quality assurance, incident reporting and service improvement initiatives
Maintain and support ultrasound equipment, reporting faults promptly and maintaining servicing and maintenance records
Support the development of ultrasound SOPs, competency frameworks and best practice standards across the team

What We Are Looking For

Essential

Post graduate certificate in obstertrics and / or gynaecology ultrasound
Minimum 3 year's post graduate experience
Valied registration with NMC, HCPC or Voluntary Register for Sonographers
Experience in Obstetric scanning (including 3D scanning, wellbeing scanning, prenatal scanning as well as the early pregnancy scan)
Experiece in Gynaecological scanning
Experience working within a fertility or reproductive healthcare setting
Excellent communication, interpersonal and counselling skills with a patient-centred approach
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
