As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate clinical documentation, producing clear and timely reports for referring clinicians, and ensuring all patient records are completed in line with departmental and professional standards. You will be managing patient interactions with sensitivity and professionalism, providing appropriate explanations throughout examinations, and supporting patients who may require additional reassurance or guidance. You will be responsible for escalating concerns, following referral pathways, and ensuring patient care is delivered in accordance with medical ethics and best practice. You will also be supporting the development of colleagues by contributing to training activities, providing supervision and guidance to less experienced staff, and promoting a safe and effective working environment. You will also be responsible for maintaining your professional knowledge through continued learning, participating in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research activities to support the ongoing development of ultrasound practice
As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for applying specialist technical expertise and professional judgement when managing complex clinical situations and ensuring appropriate decisions are made within your scope of practice. You will be managing the safe and effective use of ultrasound equipment, maintaining high standards of technical performance and adhering to relevant policies, procedures, and safety requirements. You will be supporting the wider clinical team by providing specialist advice when required and contributing to effective communication between healthcare professionals. You will be responsible for recognising clinical limitations, seeking appropriate advice from senior colleagues where necessary, and maintaining your specialist knowledge through ongoing learning and professional development.
