Job summary

Heckfield Place in Hampshire near London is seeking a Sommelier to join our wine team. You will engage guests, learn our evolving list, and work across bar, wine, floor and kitchen.

Qualifications

• Previous sommelier experience preferred.

Heckfield Place is a beautifully restored hotel on a 400-acre farm in the county of Hampshire, just outside of London. In Marle and Hearth restaurants, we prepare food and drink that celebrates simplicity, the seasons, and a sense of place.

We are currently looking for a Sommelier to join our Team.

Position responsibilities include but aren't limited to:

• Engage positively and professionally with all guests and visitors
• To be part of a passionate and energetic wine team, that is working hard to ensure a dynamic and unique wine list
• Learn a comprehensive and considered list which will be updated to reflect our ever changing, ingredient-led menu
• Have a healthy working environment between bar, wine, floor and kitchen
• Be up to date on movements within the wine industry
• Make sure cellars, storage areas and wine fridges are stocked and clean
• Have a great customer service attitude and work closely with the senior members of the team.
• Have an open schedule that allows you to work evenings and weekends
