Job summary

Qualifications

Mechanical engineering qualifications or equivalent.
Experience in engineering, applications engineering, manufacturing or related technical role.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Proficient in MS Office; Autodesk tools desirable.
Excellent command of English.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Commercial awareness in technical proposals.
Ability to coordinate activities across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

Technical calculation and design: initiate, perform and follow up on project calculations; interpret customer specs and develop designs; optimise calculation tools; ensure compliance with requirements.
Sales and proposal support: provide timely technical reviews and specifications; manage PQCL; consolidate inputs from multiple departments; participate in proposal and clarification meetings; obtain supplier quotations; prepare technical documents and cost estimates.
Customer & supplier relations: support technical input during bid development; participate in customer/supplier/fabricator meetings; drive improvement initiatives; liaise on technical matters.
Quality & continuous improvement: develop cost-effective solutions; participate in internal improvements; ensure alignment with industry standards and company procedures.
