Job Description

WSP is seeking an experienced Solutions Consultant to join our Intelligent Infrastructure team. We provide technical services to transport clients across the UK and internationally, delivering value through technology-enabled change.

As a Solutions Consultant, you will play a key role in technical delivery, leading tasks within a team to ensure quality assurance, consultancy, and advisory services on client projects. You will work on impactful projects such as improving rail services with big data, visualizing accident data geospatially, or using AI-enabled traffic cameras for transport planning.

Your Team

• This role is part of the Data, Architecture and Solutions Capability within the Intelligent Infrastructure business, focusing on digital skills, training, and professional development.
• You will work in an Agile team with developers, testers, analysts, and transport experts to design and deliver innovative software solutions across property and infrastructure sectors.
• Our hybrid working policy combines remote work with client site visits and face-to-face collaboration across UK offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical client engagements, providing insights and solutions to complex software and data challenges.
• Estimate, design, develop, and deliver software solutions following industry best practices.
• Perform quality assurance reviews of documentation and deliverables.
• Support and maintain software systems, ensuring effective resolutions and stakeholder communication.
• Advise clients on cloud data architecture and software solutions best practices.
• Contribute to team standards and future technical strategies.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience building enterprise web applications using ASP .Net and Azure, with relevant certifications.
• Experience with Python is highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile teams and deploying applications via DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in testing across the software lifecycle, including ETL, Unit, and Regression testing.
• Technical leadership skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and client engagement experience.
• Degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
