Solutions Architect (Pre and Post Sales), London
Sendbird has an exciting opportunity to join our company in the role of Solution Architect.
The Sendbird Solution Architect acts as a technical and product advisor to current customers and prospective clients. The role is responsible for architecting Sendbird solutions that meet customer demands and ensuring customer success. The Solutions Architect is engaged in pre-sales and post-sales activities to deliver innovative, flexible, and scalable solutions to our customers, some of the world's most notable brands. The ideal candidate should be comfortable speaking with developers, product managers, and C-level executives. You should have at least two years of software engineering experience in front-end, mobile, and backend technologies. This role will support EMEA and Eastern United States regions, reporting into the U.S.-based Head of Technical Services.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales: Collaborate with Account Executives to advise prospects on Sendbird services, designing tailored solutions that fit their business and technical needs.
- Design and deliver presentations/demos: Create customized presentations and demonstrations tailored to your audience, effectively connecting product features to customer business goals.
- Work toward ongoing customer success: Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, and Renewal teams to educate customers on using Sendbird effectively.
- Lead technical onboarding/implementation projects: Own the full onboarding and implementation cycle, from technical kickoff to go-live, designing and consulting on technical and UI solutions.
- Build vertical solutions: Develop tools and solutions, including third-party integrations, to meet customer needs.
- Respond to security inquiries: Articulate Sendbird's security story, lead security review responses, and discuss conformance with frameworks like HIPAA, SOC2, ISO.
- Contribute to RFx responses: Lead cross-functional teams to prepare compelling responses to RFPs.
- Gather product feedback: Provide feedback to improve Sendbird services based on customer input.
- Technical writing: Create or assist with blogs, tutorials, guides, and documentation to facilitate adoption.
- Coordinate projects: Manage projects with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful launches.
- Be a domain expert: Stay updated on AI and messaging trends, acting as a trusted advisor.
Qualifications
- BS in Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- 3-5 years of customer-facing pre- and post-sales/solutions engineering experience
- Experience reading, debugging, and understanding complex web applications
- Knowledge of HTTP methods and web integration technologies
- Understanding of AI concepts such as prompt engineering, RAG, and LLMs
- Excellent communication skills and customer empathy
- Experience with web or mobile platforms (iOS, Android, React Native, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Salesforce Service Cloud or similar ticketing systems
- Guidance on UX design for messaging
- Active participation in developer communities
- Awareness of industry trends in AI and messaging
- Experience in high-growth startup environments
