Job summary

Insight Bristol is seeking a Solutions Architect (Apps & AI) to lead architectural reviews of client applications and strategy. You will monitor GenAI trends, advise on adoption, and produce decision-ready architecture reports.

The role requires engaging senior clients and coordinating across sales, product, and delivery teams. You will contribute to cloud solution design, data flows, and SDLC/Agile practices, ensuring secure, scalable architectures and credible client solutions within a dynamic

Qualifications

• Experience in software, application, and/or enterprise architecture methods and approaches.
• Hands-on delivery of GenAI solutions (LLMs, prompt engineering, AI features).
• Experience building, deploying, and operating cloud solutions.
• Ability to review client applications, architecture, data flows, and SDLC/Agile practices.
• Technical credibility across languages, APIs, data stores, and integration patterns.
• Ability to identify and mitigate security, privacy, data, operational, and AI-specific risks.
• Experience engaging senior clients and influencing technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to produce decision-ready architecture reports with findings and recommendations.

Solutions Architect

Key Responsibilities

• You will lead the review of client applications and their technology and product strategy.
• You will monitor emerging technologies, including AI, GenAI and machine learning trends, assessing their relevance and potential application within client solutions and strategies, and provide recommendations on adoption and integration opportunities.
• You will produce detailed reports providing guidance on enhancements, best practice, and risk mitigation.
• Working directly with clients, you will interact with senior stakeholders to understand the business objectives and strategy; uncover and challenge technical requirements, technology approaches, methodology, security and tech stack decisions in line with business goals.
• You will review and interpret architectural approach, infrastructure and data flows; assessing advising on best practice SDLC methodology and ways of working.
• Investigation will include the review of architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
• You will maintain effective internal relationships with sales, technical, product and delivery colleagues.
• You will be confident in providing technical support during sales pitches and proposals and will help to identify and promote additional value add services.

SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT (APPS & AI) REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in software, application, and/or enterprise architecture methods and approaches.
• Experience defining and improving architectures, and linking decisions to business objectives and technology strategy.
• Hands‑on delivery of GenAI solutions (LLMs, prompt engineering, AI features).
• Experience building, deploying, and operating cloud solutions, including the operational impact of design choices.
• Ability to review client applications, architecture, documentation, data flows, technology stacks, and SDLC/Agile practices.
• Hands‑on credibility across languages, APIs, data stores, and integration patterns sufficient to challenge technical decisions.
• Ability to identify and mitigate security, privacy, data, operational, and AI‑specific risks.
• Experience engaging senior clients, challenging assumptions, and influencing technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to produce decision‑ready architecture reports covering findings, risks, and recommendations.
• Experience supporting pitches and proposals, shaping credible solutions, and identifying additional client value.
