Natilik is seeking a Data Centre Solutions Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of on‑prem infrastructure for enterprise clients. You will collaborate with clients to capture requirements and articulate solutions with clear business value, and you will work alongside top-tier Solutions Architects and Engineers who specialise in cloud, data centres, automation, and AI.

DATA CENTRE SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT – SCOPE OF WORK

As a Data Centre Solutions Architect, you will be involved in various scenarios focused on designing, implementing, and optimising on‑premises infrastructure to meet clients’ goals. You will collaborate directly with clients and clearly capture their requirements and articulate solutions and business value through detailed, clear, and concise client‑facing documentation. Here are some common scenarios and responsibilities you might encounter:

Clients need to modernise their data centre network infrastructure: You will design seamless migration strategies, champion the move to modern network architectures (such as Software‑Defined Networking, spine‑leaf topologies, and Cisco ACI), and ensure secure, high‑performance, and resilient connectivity across all data centre environments.
Clients are struggling with manual overhead, slow provisioning, or spiralling infrastructure costs: You will guide clients in adopting a modern infrastructure operating model. This includes implementing Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform or Ansible) for automated provisioning and designing strategies to optimise resource utilisation and ensure budget‑friendly deployments.
Clients lack a robust strategy to protect against data loss or infrastructure outages: You will architect highly available environments and develop Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies, including failover mechanisms, data redundancy, and reliable backup solutions.
Clients are looking to deploy AI but are constrained by their existing server infrastructure and data centre capacities: You will architect specialized compute solutions on platforms like Cisco UCS or Dell PowerEdge, integrating required GPU and CPU architectures, and advising on the physical data centre implications—such as power distribution, advanced cooling, and rack density—to ensure these demanding platforms run optimally and securely on‑premises.

YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU:

Have 5+ years in enterprise infrastructure or data centre solution architecture roles
Have exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities combined with strong business orientation that enables you to link technology vision to business value effectively.
Have hands‑on experience as a platform or enterprise architect with direct involvement in architecting and executing migrations including preparation, planning, and execution phases.
Understand on‑premises infrastructure deeply and can navigate the complexities of enterprise technology transformation.
Don’t mind your co‑workers getting excited about old computers and semiconductors.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES – SOME OR ALL:

Designing and/or deploying Cisco UCS and Dell PowerEdge product range
Designing and/or deploying Hyperconverged Infrastructure technology (incl. Cisco Hyperflex, Azure Local, Nutanix)
Designing and/or deploying storage technologies and platforms such as Pure Storage, NetApp and Dell/EMC
Designing and/or deploying Cisco Nexus and ACI data centre technology
Designing and/or deploying VMware Cloud Foundation product range
Experience programmatically deploying and managing multi‑cloud environments (Terraform, Ansible etc.)
Certifications: CCNP qualifications or equivalent
Certifications: Nvidia qualifications or equivalent (e.g., NVIDIA Certified Professional, NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute certifications)
Automation and orchestration tools and features and DevOps methodology (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Vendor specific tools like Cisco NSO)
Coding skills to support DevOps (Python, REST API, GIT etc.)
Working knowledge of containerisation e.g., Docker, Kubernetes
Interest and appreciation for technology trends and their architectures such as memory, CPUs, GPUs
