Our team is growing, and we are currently seeking a Solution Owner to join our Professional Services team.

Location: Remote UK

Position reports to: Director of Solutions

This role is intended to be an early career role – 2 to 4 years’ experience with room to grow and learn on the job.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Become a subject matter expert in the ZONTAL Platform and its customer use cases.
2. Analyze business requirements for customer-facing projects, focusing on data flows and formats.
3. Create functional and design specifications for solutions, emphasizing platform architecture, data pipelines, and parser design.
4. Collaborate with Cloud Architects, Product Owners, Data Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Test Engineers to build and deploy solutions.
5. Work with customers for SIT, user acceptance testing, and other testing modalities.
6. Transition solutions to Operations and Support after project completion.
7. Assist in implementing tools and frameworks to streamline delivery processes.
8. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Professional Services and across ZONTAL.
9. Gather and surface customer feedback to improve delivery effectiveness.
10. Help create and deliver customer-specific training materials.
11. Contribute to achieving ZONTAL’s financial goals and ensure customer satisfaction through excellent communication and quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience in computational biology, solution architecture, product development, systems integration, or similar, preferably in life sciences.
• Laboratory experience with computational analytics considered.
• Proficiency in analyzing requirements, data flows, and formats.
• Experience creating platform architecture and data pipeline specifications.
• Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes.
• Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python) and data transformation tools.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and data formats like JSON and XML.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to work across diverse teams and time zones.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience working directly with customers in B2B enterprise software.
• Experience transitioning solutions from deployment to support.
• Experience with life sciences data acquisition software like SDMS or LIMS.
• Hands-on with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) and data parsing.
• Familiarity with cloud services, SaaS, and SDLC.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
