BT Group is currently seeking a Solution Architect Team Manager to lead a 12+ strong team of architects, delivering end-to-end solutions for customers from SMEs to global organisations.

You will partner across the business to solve design challenges, drive outcomes, and manage delivery across multiple opportunities in a hybrid working model.

About the role

We're looking for a people-focused leader to join BT's Solution Design & Assurance team.

In this role, you'll lead a team of Solution Architects to design innovative, end-to-end solutions that help customers ranging from SMEs to global organisations achieve their business goals.

Working across complex customer opportunities, you'll play a key role in winning new business, developing talent, and delivering outstanding customer outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and develop a team of Solution Architects (12+), providing coaching, support, and technical leadership to enable high performance.
• Deliver high-quality end-to-end solution responses for complex customer opportunities and strategic bids.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to solve solution design challenges and drive successful customer outcomes.
• Manage team capacity, resource planning, and risk to ensure effective delivery across multiple opportunities.
• Improve ways of working through innovation, simplification, and a focus on delivering the best customer experience.

Essential Skills / Experience

• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing solution/technical teams, creating an environment where people can grow and succeed.
• Strong solution architecture or technical design expertise, with experience shaping complex customer solutions and translating business requirements into outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships at all levels, including senior customer stakeholders.

Desirable Skills / Experience

• Experience leading solution teams supporting large, complex commercial opportunities or customer bids.
• Experience working within secure, regulated, or highly governed environments.
• SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance.
• Experience driving operational improvement, transformation, or simplification initiatives.
