Overview

Boden is a direct-to-consumer fashion brand operating across the US, UK, and Europe, with a significant majority of its sales coming from e-commerce. As such, technology is vital to our business, supporting daily operations and driving growth by enhancing our capabilities.

We are looking for someone to join our team of solution architects to support one of our business domains. You will play a hands-on role working with other architects and technical leads to support architectural work, provide ongoing governance, and ensure alignment with our business and technology strategies. We believe solution architecture is the glue that unites our business processes, engineered components, and purchased applications, helping us maximize our technical and product teams' effectiveness.

You will need strong problem-solving skills, a passion for technology, and the ability to combine logical and analytical thinking with excellent interpersonal skills.

What You Will Do

• Own and develop our overall Solution Architecture in line with the business strategy.
• Design and document comprehensive end-to-end solutions covering software, infrastructure, and integration components.
• Ensure designs and technology decisions align with architectural principles, standards, and templates.
• Guarantee architecture compliance with security, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
• Participate actively in the Technical Design Authority (TDA) community.
• Create and maintain communication and engineering diagrams, including capability maps, process flows, value streams, data-flow diagrams, and solution designs.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to support business roadmaps, feasibility, and analysis.
• Work with the Head of Planning to validate, breakdown, and estimate larger changes.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and lead the exploration and implementation of new technologies and solutions.

What We Are Looking For

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• At least 2 years of practical solution architecture experience.
• At least 3 years of experience working on business capabilities like Order-to-Cash and/or Quote-to-Cash processes.
• Proven track record delivering complex, high-volume, high-performance solutions using microservice architecture.
• Broad technical awareness and expertise.
• Knowledge of architectural design patterns, including event-driven architectures.
• Experience working with high-performing agile teams.
• Retail domain knowledge is preferred.
• Experience in architecture governance processes such as technology selection, application lifecycle management, and demand management.
• Experience conducting architecture/design assessments and sharing best practices.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud technologies, including ECS, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies (.NET/C#), SQL, NoSQL databases, and AWS cloud.
