Summary

As a Solution Architect, you'll operate at a senior level, reporting directly to the CTO and working closely with the Head of Engineering, Product Managers, and Infrastructure Leads. You’ll guide the architectural vision and execution across multiple engineering squads, providing hands-on leadership to design and implement robust, cloud-based, event-driven systems and AI solutions.

This is a high-impact role requiring deep technical expertise and strong leadership. You'll be central to aligning architectural decisions with strategic business goals while mentoring engineers and driving adoption of best practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the end-to-end solution architecture across cloud infrastructure, integrations, and APIs.
2. Architect scalable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions using AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge, etc.) aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
3. Design high-performance AI architectures supporting large-scale LLM usage and AI model deployment.
4. Promote engineering excellence, reusability, and consistency across squads.
5. Define and document architecture standards and drive adherence to them.
6. Collaborate with delivery, engineering, product, and AI teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
7. Ensure platform and infrastructure design complies with industry regulations (e.g., FCA, GDPR).
8. Identify opportunities to embed AI in development practices and core platforms.
9. Influence cross-functional teams to adopt modern cloud practices and continuous improvement.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

1. Extensive experience in solution architecture with a strong cloud (AWS) focus.
2. Proven expertise with AWS native services: Lambda, EventBridge, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, VPC, and WAF.
3. In-depth experience applying the AWS Well-Architected Framework in real-world environments.
4. Demonstrated success building event-driven, microservices-based systems.
5. Experience designing scalable AI/ML infrastructure with cost and performance in mind.
6. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence technical direction across teams.
7. Prior work in highly regulated industries, ideally financial services.
8. AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or higher).
9. Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools (Terraform, AWS CDK, CI/CD pipelines).
10. Familiarity with multi-cloud strategies (e.g., Azure, GCP).
11. Strong knowledge of financial compliance, risk, and governance frameworks.
12. Understanding of the AI/ML model lifecycle from development to deployment.
