Job summary

Spiral UK in Helston, Cornwall, is seeking a Solidworks Design Engineer to join our head office team. You will manage projects from concept to completion, producing CAD drawings and fabrication packs in Solidworks.

You will work with a small team of four design engineers, with some 2D AutoCAD duties, including weldments and joinery detailing. You will liaise with clients in English and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Solidworks CAD experience required, including weldments.
• 2D AutoCAD for CNC-DXF outputs & site data.
• Experienced 3D CAD Detailer (metalwork or joinery).
• Meticulous, accurate, and able to work with third-party contractors.

Responsibilities

• Produce CAD staircase drawings and fabrication packs in Solidworks.
• Client facing - fluent in English, professional communications via Teams, Email and Telephone.
• Work with internal and external customers within budgetary requirements.
• Maintain ownership of designs beyond sign-off to ensure continuity of design principles.
• Fabrication knowledge (Metal / Joinery).
