Job summary

Staffing Innovations are recruiting a skilled Draughtsman Design Engineer with SolidWorks to manage and maintain the SolidWorks environment in Norwich. The role focuses on CAD systems support, developing and maintaining CAD data, and creating documentation such as explodes and floorplans for engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong SolidWorks knowledge, attention to detail, and experience reading and producing technical drawings.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 GCSE’s A* to C including Maths and English.
Minimum level 3 CAD qualification (C&G or equivalent).

Responsibilities

Design or collate machine parts/assemblies as instructed
Reuse designs where possible; redesigns should be avoided
Take full responsibility for tasks from cradle to grave
Ensure design and project records are up to date
Rework legacy CAD data to latest company standards
Comprehensive SolidWorks knowledge and a passion for CAD
Detailing of drawings from models as required by design team
Produce exploded drawings of machine and assemblies
Assist with information for maintenance and user manuals for the company machinery
Maintain library of basic floor plans and layouts to facilitate the sales process
Be a team player with high attention to detail, striving for perfection
Interact with design team and design reviews
