Job summary

Hartland Recruitment & Advertising Limited is seeking a CAD Design Draughtsperson to join their mechanical engineering team, focusing on SolidWorks for 3D layouts and 2D AutoCAD packaging and conveyors.

You will design sheet metal fabrications, weldments, guards, diverters and sorters, with opportunities to contribute improvements across international machinery projects. Salary in the £40Ks with good benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience using SolidWorks for CAD design in mechanical engineering projects.
• Ability to produce 2D layouts in AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks drawings.
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication, weldments, guards and diverters for conveyors.

Responsibilities

Job description

If you have used Solidworks in your CAD Design Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineering work, read on. My client has a team of busy mechanical engineers, using Solidworks as their main design tool to engineer a widening range of international machinery projects. They have been growing the business for 10 years, and because the future will be busy too, they need one CAD Design Draughtsperson to join that team.

Each project requires some input from this team- whether it's a simple 2D Autocad layout of packaging, conveying, handling machines and the production line across the factory, to the 3D Solidworks drawings for production, design of sheet metal fabrications for the project, subassemblies for the machine, weldments, design of guards, diverters and sorters for the conveyors, right through to improvement designs on the machines themselves.
