Job summary

Chadwick Nott seeks a Senior Risk & Best Practice Lawyer in Bristol with 3+ years PQE to lead risk and compliance advisory across the firm. The role combines supervising risk professionals, advising on SRA standards, GDPR and AML matters, and supporting policy development.

The position is permanent, full-time, with hybrid working in Bristol. A solicitor/barrister qualification and strong ethical, client-care focus are essential, along with experience in risk management and contract review.

Qualifications

• 3+ years PQE in risk management within a law firm or professional services
• Strong knowledge of SRA Standards & Regulations, PoCA, GDPR and AML regimes
• Ability to provide senior level regulatory and risk advisory services
• Experience with contractual matters including limitation of liability and UCTA
• Proven line management experience and ability to lead a team

Responsibilities

• Deliver high level risk and compliance advice to partners, fee earners and business services teams
• Supervise and develop members of the Risk & Best Practice team
• Advise on GDPR/Data Protection, AML matters and data breaches
• Review client terms, outside counsel guidelines and supplier contracts
• Lead renewals for PI insurance and regulatory registrations
• Deliver internal training and support ISO audits and recertification
