Job summary

Tollers LLP in Stevenage is seeking a Solicitor/Licensed Conveyancer/Legal Executive to join our established conveyancing team. You will manage client transactions from instruction through completion, conduct property searches, review contracts, and coordinate with agents, lenders and other practitioners.

As Team Leader you will mentor staff, explain conveyancing procedures to clients, and take on increasing responsibility in a supportive environment where your contribution is valued.

Qualifications

• Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive with conveyancing expertise.
• Experience leading a conveyancing team preferred.
• Strong client-service and communication skills essential.

We are seeking a Solicitor/Licensed Conveyancer/Legal Executive to join our established conveyancing team in our Stevenage Office. We are looking to appoint a Team Leader who is able to manage & mentor staff with the team. This is a genuine opportunity to develop your expertise within a supportive environment where your contribution will be immediately visible and valued. You'll work on a varied caseload across the full spectrum of residential property transactions—from straightforward purchases and sales to more complex matters involving leasehold properties, new build acquisitions, and remortgages. There's real scope here to refine your technical knowledge, build your own client relationships, and take on increasing responsibility as you progress.

Your day-to-day work will involve managing client transactions from instruction through to completion and beyond. You'll conduct property searches and enquiries, review and advise on contracts and supporting documentation, identify and resolve title issues, liaise with estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other practitioners, and ensure smooth financial flows at completion. You'll take the lead on matters within your portfolio, exercising your professional judgment while having access to more senior colleagues for guidance on complex issues. Strong communication is essential—you'll be explaining legal concepts and conveyancing procedures to clients who are often navigating this process for the first time, making clarity and reassurance key to your role.
