Stephensons in Wigan is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Solicitor specialising in claims against public authorities to join our Civil Liberties team. The role offers hybrid working and 35 hours per week.

You will handle abuse-related claims on behalf of claimants against Local Authorities and Police Forces, with knowledge of Civil Litigation and Personal Injury elements, and you must hold a current practicing certificate with at least three years PQE.

Qualifications

Qualified Solicitor with at least three years post-qualification experience and current practising certificate.
Experience in Personal Injury law, actions against public bodies, or general civil litigation.
Willingness to work in a hybrid Wigan setting.

About The Role:

We are looking for an experienced civil litigator to join our nationally recognised civil liberties team, to specialise in bringing claims against public authorities.

The team predominantly work on abuse related claims brought on behalf of Claimants against Local Authorities and Police Forces.

All claims require knowledge and experience in Civil Litigation and incorporate elements of Personal Injury Law.

The role provides the opportunity to retrain and transfer your skills as a Civil Litigator to this varied and interesting yet niche area of law.
