Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd in Newcastle is seeking a motivated Solicitor (NQ–3 PQE) to join the Debt Recovery team. You will manage unsecured debt recovery matters for major financial services clients, providing strategic, commercially focused advice and handling litigation, negotiation, settlement, and enforcement actions.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or CILEX with 0–3 years PQE in England & Wales.
• Experience in Part 7 litigation and debt recovery matters.
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload with excellent client service.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will manage a caseload of unsecured debt recovery matters, providing strategic legal advice and delivering effective, efficient, and commercially focused case management on behalf of a range of financial services clients.

The role requires a proactive and solutions-focused solicitor who can achieve timely and pragmatic outcomes through litigation, negotiation, settlement, and enforcement action, while ensuring that client interests are protected at all times.

Person Specification

• Qualified Solicitor/CILEX in England & Wales with 0-3 years' PQE
• Experience of Part 7 litigation
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently while maintaining excellent client service standards
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making abilities
• Commercially aware with a pragmatic and client‑focused approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
