Job summary

G2 Legal Limited in Manchester seeks an Associate/Solicitor with debt recovery, civil litigation or related experience to manage a busy caseload and advise clients on options. The role supports a collaborative, commercially minded practice.

You will work on asset-based lending and debt recovery matters, drafting court documents and liaising with clients and stakeholders, with hybrid work and clear targets.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of debt recovery and asset-based lending matters.

We are working with a specialist debt recovery law firm in Manchester that is continuing to grow and is looking to add an Associate/Solicitor to its team. This is a great opportunity for a Solicitor or CILEX-qualified lawyer with experience in debt recovery, civil litigation or a related area to join a collaborative and commercially focused practice.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload of asset-based lending and debt recovery matters, working with clients to progress cases efficiently and achieve successful outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of debt recovery and asset-based lending matters
• Drafting letters before action, legal correspondence and court documentation
• Reviewing case information and advising clients on available legal options

About You

We are looking for someone who is personable, hardworking and commercially minded, with the ability to manage a structured caseload and work effectively to deadlines.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in debt recovery, civil litigation, consumer law or a related area
• Strong drafting and written communication skills
• Good organisation and time-management skills
• The ability to manage multiple matters and prioritise effectively
• Good attention to detail
• A professional and client-focused approach
• Experience using case management systems and standard office software
• A relevant legal qualification, such as Solicitor or CILEX
