Job summary

Birchwell Associates Ltd is recruiting experienced Solar PV Electricians to support fast-growing renewable energy projects across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. You will take ownership of installations, testing and commissioning on domestic and commercial sites, ensuring high standards on site.

Ideal candidates have Solar PV installation experience, NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation and 18th Edition, with a full UK driving licence.

Birchwell Associates is supporting a fast-growing renewable energy business with the recruitment of experienced Solar PV Electricians across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands.

The company delivers a range of domestic and commercial Solar PV projects and is looking to add skilled electricians who can take ownership of installations, testing and commissioning while maintaining high standards on site.

This is a permanent position offering varied project work across the region.

What Youll Be Doing

• Carrying out Solar PV electrical installations
• Working on domestic and commercial projects
• Completing AC and DC electrical works
• Installing and commissioning inverters
• Testing, inspecting and certifying completed installations
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out remedial work
• Supporting battery storage installations
• Reading and working from electrical drawings
• Ensuring work is completed in line with current regulations
• Working closely with installation teams, project managers and customers

About You

Youll ideally be an experienced electrician who has already worked on Solar PV projects and is comfortable managing your own workload on site.

The successful candidate is likely to have:

• Previous Solar PV installation experience
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
• 18th Edition qualification
• Strong testing and fault-finding ability
• Experience within domestic and/or commercial environments
• Knowledge of PV systems, inverters and associated equipment
• A professional and reliable approach to site work
• Full UK driving licence

Additional experience with battery storage, EV charging or larger commercial solar installations would be an advantage.
