Job summary

KPI Recruiting is hiring a Solar PV Electrician in Coventry to join a growing residential renewables team. You’ll install and commission domestic Solar PV systems, wire AC/DC circuits, configure inverters and batteries, and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

You’ll bring NVQ Level 3 electrical installation, 18th Edition, and inspection/testing qualifications, plus UK driving licence and strong fault-finding skills. A permanent, full-time position with ongoing training is offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification required.
• Inspection & Testing qualification (2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent) required.
• Experience in domestic electrical installations.
• EV charging experience preferred.
• Previous Solar PV installation and commissioning experience.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Installing and commissioning domestic Solar PV systems
• Completing AC and DC wiring and consumer unit connections
• Installing and configuring inverters and battery storage systems
• Electrical testing, fault finding and diagnostics
• Ensuring installations comply with BS 7671, MCS and G98/G99 requirements
• Completing commissioning certificates and installation documentation
• Working closely with the wider installation team
• Carrying out professional customer handovers
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, health & safety and customer service

We're recruiting for an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join a leading national business as they continue to expand their residential renewable energy division.

The Role
