Job summary

Ganymede Energy is seeking a Solar PV Electrician to join our expanding renewable energy team working on new-build housing installations in Milton Keynes. You will handle electrical installation, testing and commissioning of Solar PV systems, collaborating with roofing and installation crews to uphold high safety and quality standards.

Ideally you hold NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services (or equivalent), 18th Edition BS 7671, Level 3 Inspection and Testing, and have experience with

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services or an equivalent qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Level 3 Inspection and Testing qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience installing grid-connected or off-grid Solar PV systems.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach.
• Confidence working at height and alongside other trades.

Responsibilities

• Installing and connecting Solar PV systems, including DC and AC cabling.
• Installing and wiring inverters, batteries and associated electrical equipment.
• Completing electrical testing, fault finding and commissioning.
• Carrying out remedial works, repairs and maintenance where required.
• Working safely at height and following all site health and safety requirements.
• Completing installation paperwork and providing clear handover information.

About Us

Ganymede Energy has partnered with the UK’s largest and most successful Solar PV installation company, powered by a market leading energy supplier, to recruit an experienced Solar PV Electrician. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing renewable energy business and play a key role in delivering high-quality Solar PV installations across new-build housing developments.

The Role:

As a Solar PV Electrician, you’ll be responsible for the electrical installation, testing and commissioning of Solar PV systems. You’ll work alongside roofing and installation teams to ensure systems are installed safely, correctly and to a high standard.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Installing and connecting Solar PV systems, including DC and AC cabling.
• Installing and wiring inverters, batteries and associated electrical equipment.
• Completing electrical testing, fault finding and commissioning.
• Carrying out remedial works, repairs and maintenance where required.
• Working safely at height and following all site health and safety requirements.
• Completing installation paperwork and providing clear handover information.

The Package:

• Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
• Holiday: 33 days annual leave, including Bank Holidays and an additional day for your birthday
