Job summary

Elite Hire Solutions is seeking an Electrical Labourer to join a Staffordshire-based electrical contractor working on long-term social housing and renewable energy retrofit contracts across Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas.

You will support qualified Electricians on domestic installations, solar PV retrofit projects, and energy-efficiency improvements within occupied and void properties, with focus on solar PV installations and energy projects. Permanent, full-time role with local travel.

Qualifications

• Valid ECS or CSCS Card.
• Experience as Electrical Labourer or Electrician's Mate.
• Experience in domestic electrical installations, social housing or refurbishment advantageous.
• Interest in solar PV installations and renewable energy projects.
• Good understanding of site health and safety.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting qualified Electricians with domestic electrical installations and upgrades.
• Supporting electrical works on solar PV and retrofit projects.
• Helping with cable pulling, containment, chasing, drilling and general installation preparation.
• Assisting with the installation of electrical accessories, fittings and associated equipment under supervision.
• Preparing materials, tools and equipment for daily installations.
• Maintaining clean, tidy and safe working areas within occupied and void properties.
• Working alongside experienced Electricians to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Following all relevant health and safety procedures.
• Providing a professional and courteous service when working within tenants' homes.
