Job summary

Valoris Group is seeking an experienced Solar PV Electrician to support a social housing rollout across East Midlands and Worcestershire. This subcontract (CIS) role requires installation, commissioning and testing of domestic Solar PV systems in occupied properties with professional customer service.

Ideal candidates hold NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, City & Guilds 2391 and 18th Edition, with own tools and transport. Immediate start and long‑term renewable sector opportunity offered.

Qualifications

• Must have Solar PV installation experience in domestic/social housing.
• Proven experience with electrical installation and commissioning.
• Hold City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent and 18th Edition BS7671.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission domestic Solar PV systems in social housing.
• Perform AC/DC electrical works including containment, cabling and inverter installation.
• Test, inspect, fault-find and complete certification and handover documents.
• Work in occupied properties with professionalism and strong customer service.
• Ensure works meet BS7671 and site H&S requirements.

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solar PV Electrician to support a social housing Solar PV rollout across the East Midlands and Worcestershire. This is an immediate requirement with ongoing work available for the right contractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of domestic Solar PV systems on social housing properties
• AC and DC electrical works including containment, cabling and inverter installation
• Testing, inspection and fault finding
• Completion of electrical certification and handover documentation
• Working in occupied properties with professionalism and strong customer service
• Ensuring all works are carried out in line with BS7671 and site H&S requirements
• 18th Edition (BS7671)
• City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent City & Guilds qualification
• Valid CSCS Card
• Proven experience installing Solar PV systems
• Experience working in domestic or social housing environments
• Own tools and transport
