Job summary

Valoris Group is seeking a Solar PV Designer based in the UK to join the Sales Department. You will design domestic and commercial solar PV systems, producing high-quality, compliant designs from quotation through handover.

The role is office-based, with progression opportunities within a growing renewable energy business. You should have strong PV*SOL and AutoCAD skills, thorough knowledge of UK regulations, and excellent attention to detail to deliver accurate designs while supporting sales

Qualifications

• Experience designing solar PV systems using PV*SOL and AutoCAD.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Good understanding of UK solar PV design principles and standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with sales and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Design domestic and commercial solar PV systems using PV*SOL.
• Produce accurate technical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD.
• Prepare and submit DNO applications.
• Review site surveys and customer requirements for feasibility.
• Develop accurate and compliant solar PV system designs.
• Provide technical support to sales during quotation process.
• Ensure designs comply with current UK regulations and standards.
• Liaise with DNOs, suppliers, customers and internal departments.
• Maintain project documentation and design records.
• Support continuous improvement of internal design processes and standards.
