Job summary

SERT is seeking a Technical Solar Manager in Manchester to lead the technical delivery of residential, commercial and industrial Solar PV and battery storage projects from design through to installation and completion.

You will work closely with surveyors, designers, installation teams, suppliers and DNOs to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in full compliance with industry standards. A strong background in PV design and MCS/DNO requirements is essential.

Qualifications

Proven experience in designing residential, commercial and industrial Solar PV and battery storage systems.
Strong knowledge of MCS standards, PAS 2030/2035 and DNO G98/G99 requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the technical design and delivery of Solar PV and battery storage projects.
Review and approve system designs, layouts, electrical schematics and technical specifications.
Provide technical support to surveyors, designers and installation teams.
Ensure compliance with MCS standards, DNO requirements, BS7671 regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
Liaise with DNOs, manufacturers and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct technical assessments, resolve project challenges and support product selection.
Monitor project progress and maintain accurate technical documentation.
Assist with training and development of technical team members.
Keep up to date with industry developments, technologies and regulatory changes.
