Job summary

Parkinson Gray Associates seeks an experienced Solar PPM Project Manager to oversee national planned maintenance across solar PV assets. You will coordinate maintenance teams, manage budgets, and ensure contractual KPIs are met.

The role requires strong client relationship skills and a solid understanding of electrical systems, with the added advantage of droneInspection capabilities and experience in decarbonisation projects. Hybrid working in West Yorkshire is offered.

Qualifications

• Project Management experience in renewables, electrical building services or facilities management.
• Experience delivering planned preventative maintenance contracts.
• Strong client relationship management skills.
• Commercial awareness with budgeting experience.
• Good understanding of electrical systems.
• Experience managing multiple projects or sites simultaneously.
• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services or equivalent experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Solar PV experience is desirable; exposure to battery storage/EV charging is a plus.
• Familiarity with CAFM systems, Power BI or Microsoft Project is useful.

Responsibilities

Solar PPM Project Manager

Parkinson Gray Associates is recruiting for an experienced Solar PPM Project Manager to manage planned maintenance contracts across a national portfolio of solar PV and renewable energy assets.

West Yorkshire / Hybrid

Up to 55,000 + 5,000 Car Allowance + Benefits

The role combines project management, planned maintenance and renewable technologies. You will coordinate maintenance activity across multiple sites, manage engineers and subcontractors, monitor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.

You will also act as a key point of contact for clients, review asset performance information and identify remedial works and further project opportunities. The source brief specifically describes responsibility for national solar PV PPM delivery, KPI/SLA performance, reporting, budget control and remedial quotation activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage planned maintenance programmes across multiple solar PV sites.

• Review maintenance reports, inspection results and technical performance data.
• Manage budgets, purchase orders and supplier costs.

• Support continuous improvement across the maintenance function.

The Successful Candidate

• Project Management experience within renewable energy, electrical building services, facilities management or a similar environment.
• Experience delivering planned preventative maintenance contracts.
• Strong client relationship management skills.
• Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets.
• Good understanding of electrical systems.
• Experience managing multiple projects or sites simultaneously.
• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or equivalent industry experience.
• Full UK driving licence.

Solar PV experience is highly desirable, as is exposure to battery storage, EV charging and decarbonisation projects. Familiarity with CAFM systems, Power BI or Microsoft Project would also be useful.

A valid drone licence and the ability to carry out drone inspections is listed as an essential requirement in the client brief.
