Job summary

Cobalt Consulting (UK) Ltd is seeking a Solar PV Project Manager to lead commercial solar PV, battery storage and EV charging projects from site assessment through commissioning and handover.

You will oversee multiple projects, coordinating clients, contractors, DNOs and internal teams to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to the highest safety and quality standards.

This senior role offers hybrid working and strong scope for progression as the project portfolio expands.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing multiple commercial-scale solar PV installations concurrently.
• Strong end-to-end knowledge of commercial PV project delivery.
• Experience with DNO applications, construction and commissioning.
• Strong commercial and contract management experience.
• Experience managing budgets, subcontractors and project variations.
• Good knowledge of CDM 2015 and Health & Safety requirements.
• SMSTS/SSSTS or similar would be advantageous.
• Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
• Exposure to BESS and/or EV charging projects would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Delivering commercial solar PV installations typically ranging from 50kWp-500kWp.
• Managing projects from DNO applications and site mobilisation through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, clients and wider project stakeholders.
• Managing project budgets, contracts, variations, programmes and commercial performance.
• Overseeing Health & Safety and ensuring compliance with CDM 2015.
• Providing clear project reporting and proactively managing risks and delivery challenges.
• Supporting the delivery of Solar PV, BESS and EV charging programmes.
• Ensuring projects achieve strong technical performance and client outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced Solar PV Project Manager with a strong background in commercial solar PV, EV, BESS or energy infrastructure.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Proven experience managing multiple commercial-scale solar PV installations concurrently.
