Job summary

Winberry is expanding its network of Solar Electricians for ongoing contract work across commercial and domestic projects in the UK. The role covers rooftop commercial PV installations as well as residential systems, with immediate starts and a strong project pipeline.

Qualified Solar Electricians should have NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), 18th Edition, 2391, UTR/CIS, and own tools. A Battery Storage qualification is a plus, and self-employment is preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent) is required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations is required.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing is required.
• Battery Storage qualification is preferred.
• ECS Gold Card is required.
• Previous Solar PV installation experience is essential.
• Own van and tools.
• UTR & CIS registration is required.
• Self-employed/contract basis.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial rooftop Solar PV systems and handle AC/DC electrical installation.
• Install and commission inverters and coordinate with roofing teams.
• Contribute to safe, efficient delivery of projects with stakeholders on site.
• Install residential Solar PV systems and fit inverters, smoke alarms and extractor fans.
• Support surveys and materials provisioning across projects.
