Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Solar Design Engineer for a specialist consultancy in the UK, offering full in-house training on building services and clear progression into Senior Design Engineer or Technical Lead roles.

The role focuses on solar and HVAC projects, with hybrid working after probation, a 40k-50k salary, and 33 holiday days. You will design AutoCAD-based solutions and support projects from concept to completion.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Design Engineer with solar/renewables background.
• Willing to receive specialist training on building services.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for design of solar/HVAC solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design an array of civil engineering solutions using AutoCAD.
• Support projects from concept to completion including Solar PV installation and HVAC.
• Occasional site visits to assess client needs and solve problems.
• 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday; hybrid working after probation.
