Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is assisting a client in Braintree to recruit a Solar Design Engineer. This role includes full in-house training on building services and a defined path to Senior Design Engineer or Technical Lead.

You will apply your solar PV experience to design and solve problems across education projects, using AutoCAD to create civil engineering solutions and support installation and HVAC works.

Qualifications

• Solar PV design experience is preferred.
• Willingness to learn building services through in-house training.
• Ability to assess and interpret client requirements on-site when needed.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD to design solar and related civil engineering solutions.
• Support projects from concept to completion, including Solar PV installation and HVAC.
• Occasional site visits to assess client needs and problem solve.
• 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday; 8:30 - 5pm, with hybrid working after probation.
