Job summary

Carbon 60 is seeking a Software Validation Engineer to own validation activities across the product lifecycle. You will shape test strategy, automate tests and validate products in real operating conditions.

You will collaborate with software, hardware, firmware and product specialists to ensure robust test coverage and continuous improvement of validation processes and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Experience in software test automation.
• Experience with web, Windows and APIs testing within engineering environments.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Understanding of SDLC, DevOps and CI/CD.
• Ability to work in a structured software engineering environment.
• Familiarity with architecture, design docs, coding standards and version control.
• Experience peer code reviews.
• Ability to interpret requirements for testability.

Responsibilities

• Analyse system designs, requirements and user stories to craft validation strategies.
• Build and maintain comprehensive validation plans.
• Execute functional, performance and regression testing.
• Develop automated test programs and scripts in C#, C++, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Balance manual and automated testing for optimal coverage.
• Define test tool environments and supporting infrastructure.
• Investigate and track issues through to resolution.
• Analyse results and report findings to engineers and management.
• Validate software and hardware under real-world conditions.
• Collaborate across software, hardware, firmware and product teams.
