Job summary

Arm seeks a Staff Software Engineer for Product Validation to lead end-to-end validation of embedded software, firmware, and platform solutions across the product lifecycle. You will define validation strategies, quality metrics, and release criteria, collaborating with architecture, firmware, software, hardware, and PM teams.

The role emphasizes pre-silicon and post-silicon validation, with a focus on delivering robust, production-ready platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Firmware Validation, Platform Validation or embedded software validation.
• Proven experience defining validation strategies, quality assurance frameworks, and release qualification plans.
• Strong ability to develop validation architectures, test strategies, plans, and coverage models across components to system level.
• Background in firmware or low-level system software validation on Arm-based platforms, with ownership and mentorship of validation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end validation and product quality assurance for embedded software, firmware, and platform solutions across the product lifecycle.
• Develop test strategies, plans, and automation for pre-silicon and post-silicon validation environments.
• Provide deep technical expertise in areas like HSIO, LSIO, BIOS/UEFI, RAS, Telemetry, and BMC technologies.
• Collaborate with architecture, design, firmware, software, hardware, and program management to define validation requirements and release criteria early.
• Support silicon bring-up, board validation, firmware integration, and system-level debugging across pre-silicon and post-silicon phases.
• Define and monitor quality metrics and coverage goals to drive data-driven quality improvements and release decisions.
• Mentor validation engineers and promote standard processes in test architecture, automation, debugging, root-cause, and engineering excellence.
