Job summary

Carbon60 is seeking a Software Testing Engineer to join a defence and advanced technology team in Stevenage on a 12-month, full-time onsite contract. You will plan, execute and report testing across functional, performance and quality requirements, collaborating with developers and project leads within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within Software Testing, Test Engineering or QA.
• Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases and test scripts.
• Strong experience with test automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with GitLab, Jira and scripting technologies.
• Excellent defect management and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software test plans, test procedures and test cases.
• Execute functional, integration, regression and qualification testing.
• Perform defect investigation and root cause analysis.
• Analyse software logs and test data to identify issues and support resolution.
• Support continuous testing throughout the development lifecycle.
• Produce detailed test reports and provide progress updates.
• Support software release and certification activities.
• Collaborate with developers and project teams in an Agile environment.
• Contribute to ongoing testing process improvements.
