Your Title: Software Test Engineer - Positioning Technologies

Job Location: Westminster, CO (100% In The Office)

Are you interested in identifying and delivering disruptive cutting-edge vehicle system technologies?

As a Software Test Engineer, you will join the core team developing positioning solutions for advanced motion control systems in off-highway industrial machinery, such as tractors, harvesters, dozers, and excavators. Your work will include developing automated testing tools, scripts, and procedures to evaluate and validate product performance and quality. You will also support development teams with in-field data collection to aid software development and testing efforts.

What You Will Do

• Assist the transition of testing from on-vehicle to automated test environments to expedite development, improve quality, and reduce costs
• Develop and execute test plans/procedures at all levels: MIL/SIL, HIL, and On-vehicle
• Create data analysis scripts that clearly present results for quick understanding of issues and performance baselines
• Collaborate with software and hardware teams to define test requirements and ensure coverage
• Help establish a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testbench and create HIL test procedures
• Write model/software-in-the-loop (MIL/SIL) test cases to enhance test coverage
• Collect vehicle data logs following rigorous methodologies
• Utilize scripting languages like Python and Matlab/Simulink for testing tasks

Skills & Experience You Should Bring

• 5+ years in test automation and validation
• Understanding of positioning technologies such as GNSS, IMUs, and sensor fusion
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher in Computer Engineering/Science, Robotics, or related fields
• Proficiency in Python and Matlab scripting
• Experience with test verification, validation, and algorithms
• Strong data collection and organization skills
• Knowledge of data statistics and probability
• Ability to work closely with stakeholders and teams, with excellent communication skills
• Problem-solving and time management skills, with ability to work independently
• Ability to read and understand C/C++ code
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including internationally

Additional Skills & Experience (Optional)

• 12+ years of relevant experience
• Practical controls experience in off-highway, automotive, aerospace sectors
• Experience with HIL/SIL testing and hardware/software test benches (e.g., NI Veristand)
• Knowledge of autonomous vehicle control systems
• Experience in safety-critical software development and certification processes
• Familiarity with testing tools and sensors like potentiometers, accelerometers
• Proficiency in C++ and Linux-based systems
• Experience with J1939 or NMEA2000 CAN communication protocols

Compensation and Benefits
