Job summary

RSM UK is seeking an experienced Software Test Analyst to take ownership of testing across financial, payroll and HR products. You will work with developers, BAs, and fellow QA engineers, applying manual and automation testing throughout the full testing lifecycle from design to defect resolution, in a hybrid Ipswich-based role.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in software testing, hands-on experience with Selenium Python or Playwright Typescript, and a collaborative, detail-oriented approach to

Responsibilities

• Design, document and maintain structured test cases and test plans for new functionality and regression cycles.
• Execute manual tests for new functionality changes as part of every release cycle.
• Develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts to support regression testing with existing frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and highlight risks early.
• Log defects clearly in the defect management tool and track them through to resolution.
• Actively participate in sprint ceremonies including planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing testing estimates and insight.

You will work closely with developers, business analysts and fellow QA engineers, applying both manual and automation testing skills across the full testing lifecycle. You will make an impact by:

• 2+ years' experience in software testing, with a solid understanding of testing methodologies, test case design, defect management, and software quality assurance principles.
• Experience working in Agile environments, applying both manual testing techniques and automation testing principles, with exposure to tools such as Selenium with Python, or Playwright with Typescript.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach, keen attention to detail, and confidence in identifying issues and driving continuous improvement.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and engage positively with cross-functional teams.
• Degree-qualified in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
