Job description

As one of the world's largest networks of audit, tax and consulting firms, RSM delivers big ideas and premium service to help middle-market businesses thrive. We are a fast-growing firm with big ambitions - we have a clear goal to become the premium adviser to the middle market, globally. This vision touches everything we do, motivating and inspiring us to become better every day. If you are looking for a firm where you can build a future and make an impact, then RSM is the place for you.

Make an Impact at RSM UK

Our Tax Technology team is dynamic, fast-paced and mission driven. We are building a specialist AI engineering capability within our internal tax technology function to design and deliver AI-powered agents, automated workflows, and scalable integrations across enterprise platforms. As a Business Analyst in one of our national offices, you will play a critical role in supporting the Internal Tax Technology team’s delivery objectives on AI and automation use cases and Tax service line data automation initiatives, by providing sustained business analysis capability. The role focuses on end-to-end business analysis across requirements definition, stakeholder engagement, process analysis and collaboration with delivery teams to support successful outcomes. You will work closely with RSM business stakeholders, product owners, architects, workstream, platform and delivery leads, and testing teams to ensure business requirements are clearly defined, understood, and aligned with agreed delivery roadmaps.

You will make an impact by
  • Leading discovery sessions, refinement workshops, and stakeholder interviews aligned to Data Automation delivery milestones
  • Extracting, analysing, and documenting high level and detailed business requirements for the Tax service line, in line with Data Automation deliverables.
  • Defining and documenting use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and non-functional requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders and Product Owners, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and aligned with agreed scope and expected outcomes.
  • Supporting backlog refinement by ensuring requirements are clearly defined, dependencies identified, and user stories are ready for prioritisation by the Product Owner.
  • Maintaining end-to-end requirements traceability across analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Collaborating with architects and delivery teams to ensure solution designs reflect agreed business requirements and processes.
  • Supporting UAT planning, including creation of test scenarios and scripts, coordination of execution, defect clarification, and preparation of evidence to support business sign-off
  • Identifying and documenting dependencies, assumptions, risks, and issues arising from requirements, process analysis, and testing activities, escalating where appropriate.
  • Acting as a key interface between business stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring requirements, processes, and business needs are clearly understood and represented.
What we are looking for

  • Strong experience working in release based or agile delivery models
  • Proven ability to convert complex technical solutions into business understandable terminology
  • Strong process analysis, documentation, and stakeholder facilitation skills
  • Experience in data transformation programmes
  • Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, Monday.com and user story writing
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior business and technology stakeholders
  • Experience running or closely supporting UAT for complex technology solutions
  • Detail orientated but able to lean into conversations and align closely across business and technology delivery to ensure consistent alignment on what is needed, and that what is being delivered meets the business needs.
What we can offer you
  • Hybrid and Flexible working
  • 27 Days Holiday (with the option of purchasing additional days)
  • Lifestyle, Health, and Wellbeing including financial wellbeing benefits such as financial tools, electric car scheme and access to a virtual GP.
  • Access to a suite of 300+ courses on demand developed by our inhouse Talent Development team.
