Job summary

Certain Advantage is hiring a Software Supportability Manager to lead a focused team in the Southwest. The role involves shaping software maintenance concepts and ensuring integration of support requirements into system design. You.ll work on RCM, FMECA and LORA activities, assessing obsolescence and planning technology refresh.

The successful candidate will bring an engineering background and proven experience in regulated environments, delivering results in a collaborative, site-based setting.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or closely related discipline.
• Relevant supportability engineering in a highly regulated industry.
• Understanding of hardware, software, firmware, data and network infrastructure integrated solutions for Defence products.
• Understanding of systems engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialised input on software and cyber topics and contribute to IPS Element Plans.
• Define concepts for software maintenance.
• Create software support requirements and ensure integration into system design.
• Support development of Software Support Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), FMECA and LORA activities.
• Assess software obsolescence and need for technology refresh.
• Prepare Software Maintenance Analysis Report, Software Support Analysis Report and Software Support Case Report.

The Role

This role is for a Software Supportability Manager—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.

You’ll be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

• Providing specialised input on Software and Cyber-related topics and contributing to program IPS Element Plans.
• Defining concepts for software maintenance.
• Creating software support requirements and ensuring their integration into system design.
• Supporting the development of Software Support Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) activities.
• Assessing software obsolescence and the need for technology refresh.
• Preparing Software Maintenance Analysis Report, Software Support Analysis Report, and Software Support Case Report
