Job summary

Motorola Solutions UK Limited is seeking an experienced software architect to translate customer and product requirements into solutions spanning embedded and application domains. You will drive usability and performance while aligning with field user needs, and translate concepts into architectures and designs for delivery by implementation teams.

Collaborating with systems, software and hardware teams, you will guide changes and ensure documentation, coaching, and milestone planning support

Qualifications

• Experience in architecting software spanning user, application and embedded domains.
• Requirements development and management.
• Ability to mentor others and share knowledge.
• Strong communication skills with a wide variety of engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
• Experience solving undefined, complex systems issues drawing from deep architectural knowledge.
• Experience in working with stakeholders to define deliverable solutions from a high-level statement of need.

Job Summary

You will translate customer and product requirements into software solutions spanning embedded and application domains. These solutions will prioritise usability and performance while recognising the needs of users in the field.

Once defined these solutions will be translated into requirements, architectures and designs that allow the implementation teams to deliver.

You will then collaborate with the development teams to drive the solutions through to delivery whilst managing change and technical challenges

Basic Requirements

Desirable

• Subject matter expertise in signal processing domain architectures.
• Proven experience interfacing with external vendors, component suppliers, or client engineering teams.
• A background in defence or other related field
• A background in safe / high reliability software development
